Hopefully, by now you have your journal! I hope that you have explored opportunities for writing. I hope that you're finding journaling a way of relaxing or creating new ideas. This past week, I chose to journal scripture. My question to you is, do you have S.O.A.P? One of the ways I enjoy studying my Bible is through a method called "S.O.A.P". I've seen this method on "Pinterest" many times. I'm not sure where it comes from, but it has been a tremendous help to my Bible study. This image I found is connected to the link http://www.faithroundrock.com/studies/
The acronym stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. I found this study method last summer, and it has changed the way I study the Bible. I can read a chapter (or however much of the Bible I choose). Then I choose a verse, and study that verse more in depth. Finding this method of study made me run to my Bible more often. It helped me to understand what I was reading. I was able to hear what God was saying to me through His word. I encourage you to try this method in your journal. See how studying in small sections can help your Bible study, as well as your journaling journey.
